In case you haven't seen it, people all over the country are helping to donate to the ALS Association and doing what's known as the ice bucket challenge. It's pretty much what it sounds like; participants take a bucket of ice water poured over their heads and then donate to help find a cure for ALS - also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. As her own sister-in-law passed away from ALS, it makes the act all the more meaningful:
