Tony Divino Toyota is pleased with the new Toyota Tacoma truck ads because they display integral functions of the new vehicle in an interesting way. Traditionally truck ads are very similar. Almost every truck ad ever aired shows an image of the truck barreling through rugged terrain and displaying its power and off-road capabilities.
While we are sure the automaker could successfully do this with the Toyota Tacoma, because it has all of the back-country abilities of other trucks that are showcased driving off the beaten path, we are pleased the automaker took a unique approach in creation of the newest television spots. Instead of doing the basic and traditional (insert any truck here) commercial, Toyota added some comedy into the new Tacoma ads.
To view the TV spots for yourself just visit Toyota's YouTube page. The four new tidbits of Toyota entertainment highlight desirable features of the vehicle in the follow ways:
- Tacoma vs. Girlfriend shows how all-weather floor mats and water-resistant seats can help protect your cabin from water- even if that water comes from a girlfriends tears instead of wet boots or clothing.
- A chess war is won with the grim-reaper in another video because of the rear-view camera. Not only is it helpful at reversing your vehicle it can be used to beat death.
- The Tacoma's 6,500 pound towing capacity is displayed comically as the truck is used to tow away a mime.
- A magician is used to display how safe your cargo can be kept in the truck bed. If he can't get out your belongings should be safe.
In all cases, of Tacoma vs. Girlfriend, Mime, Reaper or Magician, the Tacoma wins. That means, you as the Tacoma owner also win. If you aren't the owner of one of these stellar new trucks we suggest stopping in to check one out.
