The Renault Twizy started a new movement in the world of electric vehicles years ago when it was created, and Toyota has been working on following up with a model of their own.  The i-Road urban electric vehicle is the answer to the Tiwzy, and it has been appearing in concept form over the past year at auto shows across the globe.

Recently Toyota decided it was time for the i-Road to gets its feet, or I guess we should say wheels, wet in the real world.  Subsequently, our brand sent this nimble little urban three-wheeler to Toyota City, Japan, where it is now being tested.  Take a look at video footage of this ride in action on the open road:

This electric urban ride is very exciting as it is a glimpse into the future for Toyota and the way we navigate cities.  Make sure you check back in here on our blog as more information is released regarding these test runs and possibly an eventual production date.

In the meantime there is a way to electrify the way you drive right here in Riverdale, Utah with the hybrid 2014 Prius.  Come check out the original green machine today in the inventory of new Toyota models we currently offer, we look forward to seeing you.
