While there are currently so many outstanding models in the new Toyota lineup, the automaker always has something up their sleeve for the future. Rumors have been swirling around regarding a unique model that was released in Tokyo recently. Known as the FCV hydrogen fuel-cell concept the sedan promises impressive improvements for the auto industry.
Here are a few things we have been hearing about the concept vehicle:
- It will offer extended range and power created by two high-pressure hydrogen tanks.
- There is speculations of the car getting up to 300 miles with only one single tank of hydrogen.
- The name of the future fuel-cell vehicle is yet to be determined.
Although the above statements are just speculation we caught wind that the automaker is considering giving the model the Prius badge. This came from a reliable source, Auto Guide, and it was confirmed by Bill Fay, the US group vice president that executives have indeed been discussing the possibility.
We think it is quite fitting since people from Salt Lake City, Clearfield and beyond already recognize the nameplate as being a green vehicle. This new model will expand on the Prius name and take environmentally friendly to a new level.
